We finally purchased handbags for the bridal party girls! After months of searching for the perfect clutch for our groomsgirl (aka my future sister in law), I threw up my hands and gave the project to Richard because I just couldn't handle the pressure anymore. Want to see what he ended up buying? Ok!!!

Here's the thing...about garters

I'm not doing the garter toss...much to my mother's dismay. For some reason she and my father both think it's just wrong that I want to skip this. "It's tradition," they exclaim. That's nice but I'd really rather not 1. have every guest, especially my parents and future in laws watch as Richard sticks his head up my dress and 2. corral the guys together and toss them something that's been on my leg that I'd rather give to my future husband, thanks. So if you haven't already guessed, there will be no bouquet toss either. Hey, I'll use any excuse to play Single Ladies, but I'd rather just play it with no embarrassment attached.

Not only that...who's really going to go for it? I can think of literally 2 guys who are considered single. Every other is married or to be married. Seriously, 2011 is the year of weddings. There are 6 that we are being invited to so far.

So I am breaking that tradition. I am giving my garter, not throwing it, to Richard. Which of course means I'm on etsy looking for the perfect one constantly. Turns out that in terms of garters, I tend to favor ones that are a little more traditional. Surprise!
